5-Axis Machining
5 axis machining is referring to the ability of a CNC machine to move a part of a tool on five different axes at the same time. 3-axis machining centers move a part in two directions (X and Y), and the tool moves up and down (Z).
5-Axis machining centers can rotate on two additional rotary axes (A and B) which help the cutting tool approach the part from all directions.
The advantage of 5 axis machining,
1. The speed
2. Short setup time
3. More accuracy on each part

The main advantage of 5 axis machining is speed. Using 3 axis machining, you need to set up the workpiece more than one to finish holes or shape in different angels while with a 5 axis you don’t have to.
It could finish complex shapes, side holes and slots one time by rotating its working table, which could help reduces mistakes and improve working efficiency.
Five-Star well knows of that and has imported more than one DMG 5 axis machines from Germany. We have our operators trained by a professional team from the DMG company to make it best work.
Besides, 5 axis machining require more difficult programming and Five-Star has a professional programming team to support it. And got our precision components clients’ commended many times.
